READ CHAPTER ONE

"GOOD ONE!"
"This was a lighthearted whodunit, that kept me guessing. An easy read"
— Amazon review from Julie

"DIDN'T EXPECT TO LIKE THIS BOOK AS MUCH AS I DID"
"I have to say, I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. Often, it seems like descriptions of books are like profiles on dating websites. They sound good until you actually meet the person. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised with An Inconvenient Corpse. I loved the character, the murder mystery was just enough of the plot to make this a murder mystery, and I didn't see the culprit coming until a few pages before the killer was revealed. The story is much more about people than it is about murder, and that makes it a good read, in my opinion. Five Stars"
— Amazon review from Debi Alexander

"VERY GOOD"
"Written very well. I was guessing until the end. Interesting from cover to cover. Couldn't put it down. Will be watching for more from this author."
— Amazon review from Amazon Customer

"I LOVED THAT THE HEROINE WAS A MIDDLE AGED WOMAN"
"I loved that the heroine was a middle aged woman as I am a middle aged woman myself. The spots of humor were nice because it lightened the storyline. There were plenty of twists and turns. I enjoyed reading The Inconvenient Corpse immensely."
— Amazon review from karenjuli

"QUIRKY, DIFFERENT, CLEAN!"
"Firstly I was one of the lucky ones that read this for free and, to begin with, I just thought 'this is weird' but it grew on me ... a lot. Enough has been said about the plot and the writing style but, for me, it is best described as decidedly quirky in an endearing sort of way with a quite old fashioned edge. So how does it deserve the exalted [and, from me, ultra-rare] 5 stars? It just does lol ..... would I pay hard cash for it? Yes ... and be very sure that's a major factor in the star rating. Overall I'd say you'll either love it or you'll throw it out but if you've read this far then give it a go."
— Amazon review from Alex

"ANOTHER HIT"
"Another good mystery with plenty of suspects and plenty fun along the way to solving it. The characters are quaint and interesting."
— Amazon review from L. Parkis

"SURPRISING"
"That's exactly what this book was, surprising!! At first, I was thinking, I'm not going to read this. These characters are just too off the wall and unbelievable and then... I was hooked and didn't put the book down until I had read the last page. Theodora reminded me of someone I have actually known and then I got acquainted with the other characters also. The author kept me in suspense trying to figure out the MURDER until the very end. I loved it and can't wait to read some of her other books. I hope they will be just as colorful and intriguing."
— Amazon review from Amazon Customer

"CHEATING HUSBANDS, DEAD NAKED MEN AND DEAD HOUSEKEEPER SET THE STAGE FOR HILARITY"
"I enjoyed this story immensely. Not only for the wide variety of characters, but their quirky, and often times, hilarious natures. I laughed frequently through this murder mystery and I am very glad I got to read it. A humorous who done it that will keep you guessing until the last page."
— Amazon review from Huntress (Robyn U)

The Corpse Who Walked in the Door (Book 2)
Book Two
Former society wife Grace Cassidy is learning to live on the minimum wage she earns as a bed & breakfast innsitter. When Grace finds her cat's bloody paw prints leading away from a bathtub, she wants to run for her life. But she can't: her 19-year-old son is accused of pushing his pregnant girlfriend down a flight of concrete steps and she won't abandon him.

"EXCELLENT. CHARMING."
"Excellent. Charming. What a cozy mystery should be. I read it through nonstop and enjoyed every bit of it. Grace and her friends are people I look forward to spending more time with. Good plot, believable, with good pacing. Never lagged, and I especially enjoyed the personal relationships and family interaction. Grace is a classy lady and a good friend to have. Would recommend this to anyone."
— Amazon review from Ada H.

"ANOTHER BODY... GRACE HAS THE WORST LUCK!! OH WELL, BACK TO SLEUTHING"
"Grace is playing amateur sleuth again. After all was said and done in the last story, Grace is once again finding bodies in the Inn she manages. In the first book, The Inconvenient Corpse, she had found two bodies. Now it is one with a whole new cast of characters and a couple of old friends. This is a family secrets who done it and will keep you guessing until the end.

It is a good mystery, but I only gave it four stars because I liked the first story better. For the humor and the colorful characters. I look forward to Grace's next adventure."
— Amazon review from Huntress (Robyn U.)

"A GREAT SEQUEL"
"Ms. King's second Grace Cassidy mystery is rare in sequels. It fulfills the promise of the first book, THE INCONVENIENT CORPSE. Grace and all her fun friends and frenemies stumble into a murder when Grace (again!) discovers a body in her room at the B&B she manages. The story is filled with family secrets and angst enough to provide plenty of clues. With sharp characterizations, spot-on dialogue, and a smooth, easy voice, Ms. King gives us a story well worth the time spent with Grace. Looking forward to the next one!"
— Amazon review from Jacqueline A. Kramer

"AS GREAT A MIXTURE AS BEFORE"
"Grace is getting over being ditzy, but she keeps finding naked men in her bed. At least, she thinks she knows this one. Jackie King continues to keep me turning the pages. It's a fun read, but convoluted enough to make you use your brain, at least a little bit. Book three is in the works; I guess I'll just have to wait for it. I really want to find out what happens to Grace when she has her next adventure. Will it be another naked man in her bed?"
— Amazon review from Jaye S.

"WONDERFUL COZY MYSTERY"
"A wonderful cozy mystery with all the delightful characters we want to know. Grace, deserted by her husband and left penniless, becomes an Inn-sitter.

The family, highly dysfunctional, soon discloses their true selves when the twin brother returns home after his falsely reported death. It is time to sell the inn and he will be an inheritor. No one wants to share the loot.

Jackie King is an gifted author and she spins this story beautifully. Do not miss out. Get this mystery today."
— Amazon review from Pam Wetterman.

"REMINDED ME HOW MUCH I LOVE THE COZY MYSTERIES I USED TO READ."
"I adored the first book in this series,The Inconvenient Corpse, which reminded me how much I love the cozy mysteries I used to read. Grace finds herself in terrible circumstances but makes the best of it and builds a new life for herself and her son. I was happy for her return in this book, with a great mystery to solve during the visit of her boss's hellacious family and the return of her husband. Grace is an excellent character, and the secondaries were fun, too. I hope Jackie's working on #3!"
— Amazon review from MJ

"WONDERFUL"
"I cannot wait for the next book to come out. The characters are so alive in this series! They are so serious and funny."
— Amazon review from Jane Mefferd

"A GOOD COZY"
"I enjoyed the first and now second book in this series. Characters are fun and multi-dimensional and the plots are believable. I love whacky characters and these two books had plenty. I just hope there's a third book coming soon. I'm also an inn-sitter and can pick up some ideas in case a murder happens at mine! It would be nice to have some of the recipes as well"
— Amazon review from Ad Girl

"GREAT #2"
"Loved everything, deeper insight of the 'old' characters of this mystery, great 'new' characters. Well written, a few clues here and there if you pay attention and a heartbreak ending and hopefully an upcoming new adventure for Grace."
— Amazon review from Kindle Customer

"SHE KEEPS YOU GUESSING!"
"I love novels by Jackie King she keeps you guessing all the way through and makes you want more. She brings out the personalities of each characters and this Novel left you hanging and I hope she writes a spinoff."
— Amazon review from Dorothy1

"DELIGHTFUL!"
"What a pleasure to read a cozy mystery centered on a middle-aged inn keeper. Grace is recovering from a devastating divorce and finding her way in the single world. She has her 19 year old son and her best gal pal with her. There are plenty of mysteries afoot in this lovely B&B and Grace finds herself tangled in all of them. The characters are delightful, the dialogue sparkles, and the murder mystery is intriguing. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the next Grace Cassidy novel. We still need to know what happens to Sandy and the police officer Grace has a crush on!

Well done!"
— Amazon review from Kindle Customer

Note from author: What happens to Sandy and the police office Grace has a crush on is answered in Book 3. See below:

"FUN READ -- FIVE STARS"
"Charming. That is a perfect word for this cozy mystery set in Tulsa. Once again, Grace and her flamboyant friend Theodore find themselves involved in a murder in the midst of their new business venture. All the characters are finely drawn and the mystery is a puzzler with twists and turns. There is even a gentle love interest woven in between Grace and Sam. You'll giggle and grin throughout. It's lovely to read something dealing with the over fifty folks."

Suspense With Romance:

Murder at the Edge of Nowhere
Liz O'Brien returns to her hometown to make peace with her ailing mother. She expects to find boredom and monotony. Instead, she discovers the romantic designs of a handsome cowboy, and a morass of secrets that land her in the crosshairs of a killer. Who would think that Tumbleweed, an Oklahoma panhandle town so tiny it could disappear as a mirage, would be rife with embezzlement, blackmail and murder?

"ABSORBING WEB OF INTRIGUE"
"This absorbing tale of the darker side of a tiny Oklahoma town's secrets not only proves the old adage of 'you can't go home again' but maybe don't want to. Still, we come to admire Liz O'Brien for doing the right thing in a pasture stuffed with plausible suspects. Despite being snared in whispers and danger, she takes us along for a suspenseful ride, keeping us guessing right to the end."
— Amazon review from Geoff

"SUSPENSE ON THE PRAIRIE"
"What a delight. Memorable characters. Lots of twists and turns. A little romance. And wonderfully written. This is Jackie King's best book to date. If you haven't read her books before, this is a great one to start with and if you are already a fan, then you're going to fall in love with this gem of a mystery."
— Amazon review from Kindle Customer

"ENJOYABLE"
"Well, I have to admit it - this is the second book I have read this week where I didn't guess the murderer! I must be losing my touch, because that is just not like moi

Well plotted with some rather ghastly redneck characters - how the heroine doesn't just shoot the lot of them, I really don't know because she had enough temptation. A ripping hero, a (mostly) sensible heroine, a gorgeous cat - what more could a reader want?

I love dark secrets, which everybody knows, hidden in small towns and this plot has a lot of them. Twisted 'good 'ole boys' running the town are par for the course but well done!

I enjoyed this novel and would read more by this author."
— Amazon review from Diana M. Hockley

"READ IT IN ONE DAY"
"There's plenty of action and lots of twists and turns in this romantic suspense. The mystery kept me guessing and I finished the book in the afternoon and evening. The romance was a nice element (FYI no sex scenes). Overall it's a worthy read if you enjoy an action-packed suspense with elements of romance."
— Amazon review from Chris in NM

"GREAT MYSTERY"
"Good old fashioned whodunit!! Interesting characters (some will make you laugh out loud) and lots of clues to figure out! I read it in one day!"
